My Approach to Therapy

My intention is to help each client build a self-compassionate, confident, healthy, and peaceful self.

While the path is different for each person, it always begins with the hope that it can be achieved, the courage to work toward it, and the willingness to accept one’s deepest truths. As a result, my approach is designed to create a supportive, safe environment that supports the internal work of facing deeper truths. We do this by exploring your concerns and goals to help you gain a deeper self-awareness, thus allowing for greater self-acceptance. My therapeutic approach includes looking at early familial patterns and relationships, mindfulness practices, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Positive Psychology.

The Mind-Body Connection.

Through research and my experience as a practitioner, I’ve witnessed firsthand how emotional issues frequently manifest as physical symptoms. That’s why I pay close attention to the mind-body connection. By listening to the body, we often hear the mind, which helps us gain a deeper understanding of how feelings and thoughts affect physical and emotional health. With this new knowledge, it’s easier to change our patterns and behaviors in order to get what we want out of our experience.

Creating High Consciousness

The self-awareness that comes out of the work makes it easier to accept personal truths, and to experience life by accessing all of your emotions. Bringing full awareness to your thoughts and feelings helps you in reaching desired goals, recognizing and defusing challenging situations, and improving your overall quality of life.
